Chapter Eleven
The Rules
Though new in town, I am familiar with the Main Street diner, having brunched there on several occasions while interviewing at the Institute. So it’s easily found and know that ‘unwanted’ will find it as well, since it’s a late night feeding trough for hungry college students.
I wear my nurses uniform, offering a clue and sit in an isolated booth facing the door. Since I know what ‘unwanted’ looks like, know that there will not be too many young males wearing rouge, making the connection should be simple.
Sure enough promptly at 8:00 a.m. a slight male form sheepishly enters, the cosmetics having the desired effect on his male psyche.
