Raven got up early the next morning, to get ready for her first shift. She was nervous because she had never had a job before, and she wanted to do her absolute best. As the day went by, Raven worked extremely hard, and she picked up on everything she needed to do fast. Before she knew it, her shift was over, and it was time for her to prepare herself for her very first outing.

Greer got done with his hunt for the day. It took him weeks, but he finally tracked down the disgusting troll that had been terrorizing a downtown villa. It made him feel great, hunting down monsters and clearing them out. It made him feel like he was doing something to help his community and to keep people safe. After his victory, he wanted to grab a quick drink to relax after a long day of work. He decided to go to Vivi's Tavern. It was one of the finer establishments in the heart of Eden.
Today, Vivi's was beyond crowded. So, Greer Decided that he'd just grab one drink and then be on his merry way. He made his way to the bar, standing at the very end of it, he leaned over the bar and ordered his beer. Sitting on a bar stool next to him was a cute bunny girl. The bartender handed him his order. Greer took a step back, taking a sip of his cold refreshing Witches Brew. He looked down at the bunny girl, who was sitting beside him. She was gorgeous. She was wearing a short white dress that exposed her luscious thighs with knee-high black boots. She looked lost or even on edge about something.
"Hey," he said with a friendly smile, "I don't think I’ve ever seen you around here before" he stated, trying to break the ice.

Raven looked up at him, studying him for a moment. The man that stood before her now, was a tall bunny boy with long black hair with white undertone highlights. His ears were black with white tips. He had the prettiest silver eyes that seemed to glow. He also had a tribal marking under his right eye.
" Oh well, I'm not from around here", she spoke softly, pausing for a moment, "Today is actually, my first real day here," she said.
Greer took another sip from his drink, "Well, welcome to Eden," He welcomed her warmly, "I haven't been here too long myself", he paused, thinking, "So, where are you from," he asked.
Raven looked away from him for a moment. She didn't really want to think about her old home, but she didn't want to seem rude either. "I'm from Genesis," she said.
"Genesis, wow, I've never been there myself, but I've heard so many great things about it," he said, sipping on his drink some more. He was starting to feel the buzz the Witches' Brew is known to give. "I may need a lovely tour guide one day", he joked, winking at her.
Raven giggled" I'd love to show you around one day". She smiled and blushed a little.
Hearing a laugh and smile for the first time sent shivers down his back. He smiled, happy to see her smiling. "I come from a little tribe located in Pandora. As a kid, I've always wanted to come to the big city. So here I am" he said, looking at her," So what brings you here, little lady?" he asked.
Raven looked at him deeply for a moment before looking at the ground. She fiddled with her hands some. She wasn't sure if she should tell him what she really was doing here, but there was something deep down inside that told her she could trust him. "Umm, my family has fallen into some hardship. So, I've been sent here to either find an eligible suitor or to become a courtesan of sorts" she said sadly, not looking back at him.

Greer, oh most, spit out his drink. He wasn't expecting her to say something like that, but looking at the whole scenario, it made perfect sense now, considering she was a young woman at a bar unaccompanied by anyone. Normally, young unmarried women always had some sort of escort to ensure no scandals could take place but, in her case, she had the option to be married off or to become a classy prostitute. Greer felt terrible for her. She seemed like a genuinely sweet girl, who didn't deserve what life was tossing at her. He wished he could help her somehow, but he was just a poor bunny boy living on a short income for each hunt he completed. He decided to order one more drink.
"Oh well, I am truly sorry to hear that," he said, noticing her hands were empty with nothing to drink or eat. "I'm sorry, can I get you something to drink or to snack on," he asked.
"No, I'm good, thank you" she replied. She didn't want to impose on him. "And no need to be sorry. I'm truly happy to do it if it means my younger sisters may benefit a better life from it, and I'd rather it be me than one of them," She said.
Greer took one last big swig of his drink. He was really feeling it now. He leaned over Raven to set his empty cup down and left a tip on the bar for the server. He was so close to her that he could smell her lavender perfume. it gave him a sense of relaxation. "Well, it seems like you got a good head on your shoulder," he commented while still standing super close to her. " So do you stay in the inn here? Let me warn you, it's not the best. Even though it’s got these thick brick walls. You can still hear everything that's going on out here," he said.
Raven grew kind of stiff, sitting super still she held her breath. She had never been so close to a man before. She could smell his strong manly fragrance, and she could see his broad chest through the three unbuttoned buttons of his shirt. Her face flashed a bright red. She closed her eyes. “No, I am staying in a loft at the Ohana Bakery Café," she said, kind of embarrassed. All the money her parents gave her was only enough to get her here, let alone a room of her own.
Greer moved back away from her a little because he had noticed that he made her feel a bit uneasy. He had hoped that he didn't scare her any. For, he’d never intentionally hurt her or anyone. Greer laughed, not picking up on how embarrassed she felt. “Well, that sounds pretty cool," he said, "Sure bets this place" he smiled at her.
She smiled back. She knew that things could be worse. So, she had to appreciate what she had more." Yeah, I guess it is kind of nice," she said.
Greer looked out the window, seeing how dark it had gotten outside. “Man, it’s getting late," he sighed. He had a new hunt; he was going to go after it. So, he needed to be up early for it.
Raven looked at him, she didn't want their time together to come to an end for she truly enjoyed talking with him. " Do you want to call it a night?" she asked politely.
"Normally I'd probably say no and stay and chat with a pretty bunny girl like you longer, but I should really get going," he said, not wanting to leave her, "Oh by the way, I completely forgot my name is Greer. It was nice to meet you, "he said.
Raven blushed. "Oh I'm Raven" she smiled," It's truly been a pleasure," she beamed with happiness.
"It has," he paused "Well, Miss. Raven, I hate to leave, but I must go. You said you're new here, right? How about I show you around Eden some tomorrow evening" he asked.
Raven smiled," That sounds great," she said excitedly.
He smiled back at her "Until tomorrow then" he said as he turned to walk away, headed back to his lonely old inn room.

Raven sat there and smiled a little. It was the first time she had smiled since she got there. She looked around some. Vivi's Tavern had died down a lot since she had arrived. So, she decided to call it a night as well, because she also had to get up early in the morning to open the bakery.
She got back to her little old loft, and she grew to have a little more appreciation for it. She got ready for bed. As she laid on her cot, she couldn't help but smile with happiness, getting excited about exploring the new world around her. Greer had, without realizing it, given her so much hope, that if there were truly kind people like him around everything would be ok and work out for the best.

Greer laid awake on his bed. He couldn't help but to keep tossing and turning. He was so frustrated with himself. He hit his pillow. Why did he not at least walk her home to ensure she returned safely? God, he hoped she was alright, and she made it back home OK.
