I sat alone among the wildflowers for nearly a day, alternating between tears and a sort of painful numbness. It was only as the shadows began to creep across the ground that I decided I had to move. Shakily, I got to my feet and took in my surroundings. Atop a high hill, a castle stood with warm light flickering in its windows. The candlelight dancing behind the curtains reminded me of fireflies twinkling in a forest and so I moved towards it, not caring if its inhabitants were friend or foe. As I got closer, I could make out the details. It was roughly the size of Lyekeep. The walls around it were sturdy, but not high, and all the battlements were adorned with nesting birds.
