“Not to each other, w***e-whelp,” Vadralli cried out, wrenching his hair from his competitor’s grasp. He landed a flailing punch on the magician’s cheekbone and the man fell back, holding his face. I barely ducked out of the way of a fiery column that he launched towards the prince, which missed its mark and instead singed the side of a building. A few other people on the street nudged each other and pointed, but most continued walking, going about their business as though it was a common occurrence to see their future king wrestling on the street.
