You wanted love to leave and die
No matter who I was inside
I just wanted a piece to be happy
Not someone to break me
Laughed at by the town
To be heard to show her as a clown
To make it seem so unreal
That she isn't just a big deal
To make her relive her past
And all the family she can't get back
To make her choose
A life of pain and abuse
Between fish beating and rapes
And make jokes on broadcasting waves
She's asked for help
And you said you would yep
Take me and you can leave
I will find the bus you better believe
Then all of a sudden you change
Could it be you saw me for me
But how you're not around
Unless you have ears on the ground
I take things as I see them
But you want me to change
To see myself as someone I'm not
To be like you a heartless robot
To be quiet and not speak
To give up everything I believe
To break my heart and spirit
You say be quiet I don't want to hear it
How can one start over again
Living in their past remembering
Memories are what makes us smile
Keeping us strong and happy awhile
See some never had something real
That didn't believe her heart could feel
Everyone gave her away
To the wolves and laughed all day
Still she believed in God and others
Love oneself as unto others
Make time for what matters
When the rest of the world scatters
Hearts bleed blood of red
But the soul can easily be dead
To change someone I don't try
But chance is given to hear and cry
One's self can't be judged
Because another soul be grudges
I just want a chance at self
Without others believing they've helped
To work and be a productive member
Without my life being a losing contender
