Valerie’s POV
When I opened my eyes I could remember flashes of pain, but thankfully I couldn’t remember much about what happened. What I couldn’t seem to forget, however, were the monstrous black paws I saw before I blacked out. My head was pounding and my throat was still feeling as if it was on fire, but at least the hunger had subsided a little. What was this place?
I looked around the room, wondering if there was a key for the padlock nearby, but from what I could remember, we moved everything to the pack grounds, which meant I was locked in here and nobody knew where I was. If I called Aries over our pack link … If I called anybody over our pack link, I stood a very enormous chance of someone getting hurt. I would never forgive myself if I hurt Aries, or any more of my pack members
