Valerie’s POV
It was going to be my first council meeting and also, most importantly, my first official act as Luna of the pack. I gripped Aries’ hand a little tighter as we walked into the hotel and I felt the tension in the air. Aries nodded at a couple of the Alphas that were present and some smiled back, but most of them looked serious which put me on edge.
Aries was convinced that we were going to prove his pack's innocence, but I wasn’t so sure. Especially after seeing the tense way in which we were greeted. We walked into the convention room and it was set up to look like a courtroom, but one person caught my attention immediately.
