Thessa's scheme

This is an unknown side of her to anybody even her parents, she used to not even smile in front of others but in front of this young boy, she is letting herself free. Maybe because he was a commoner or he is a young boy or she may have been doing this just to tease him. That you will have to see in the future.

“ Alright, little boy you should go on and continue your training,” she said with a smile.

“ But I want to talk to you more. When will we meet again.” Lucifer said with an eager expression.

He is just acting as he feels and after all, he is only 15 and he is infatuated with her. He is naive and innocent.

“I will come for you with the excuse of training and will pick you up. Now go on. Move” she said and left.

Lucifer was very happy that she accepted him and went to the training arena. Like that he continued his practice daily.

Sometimes she came and took lucifer outside and trained with him. There roamed the kingdom. She also took him to her house like that several days passed.

 This news has spread in the academy. Other nobles were infuriated with anger. Some students were neglected but a particular group has been discussing what to do with Lucifer. The place behind the training arena, under a small tree, a group of four to five students were standing and one of them sat on a chair with a table. He was reddened with anger as he was stomping his foot on the floor. That person was Marcus, He spoke with anger "That commoner bastard dares to talk with Lady Thessa. I will teach him a lesson."

At night, Marcus with his group went to Lucifer's room. In the room, Lucifer was sleeping. Other members who were with Marcus held Lucifer as they kicked him and thrashed him. Lucifer who was asleep woke up but he was unable to see anything as his eyes were covered with a blanket. he struggled to free himself but as they held him he was not able to move. Marcus used magic to strengthen his hands punched him until he bled. The blanket which covered Lucifer was now dyed with blood. They continued for several hours, they stopped after Lucifer lost consciousness. They left him in the room and returned to their rooms. 

Lucifer gradually stood up, he had no strength to move his body. He slept on his bed closing his eyes. He did not even try to remember who attacked him last night. For the past several days, it has become his routine for beating. he did not bother anymore as he lay on his bed. 

He thought to himself ' I thought if I came to the academy it would change my life instead I have become a practice doll for other students. If only I had the strength...' 

He rested in his room for several days and did not go to meet Thessa.

After several days people started talking about these two and what's the relationship between the two and gossip was spread around the kingdom. A commoner boy and a noblewoman having love. And this news got to both flaming and salvo families.

In salvo family mansion

The flaming family patriarch and Salvo family patriarch are seated in the main hall with various people of both houses. Flaming has taken initiative to bring up the marriage. And there were now here to discuss the recent gossip.

“ What is the meaning of this news” the flaming family patriarch exclaimed.

Beside him, his eldest son was standing with a disdainful expression. He wanted Thessa to marry him and he longed for her. When got to know that she is roaming with a commoner, it annoyed him very much. If his father did not stop he would have already killed Lucifer. He was waiting for his father’s approval.

When Flaming family’s Patriarch heard the news of a commoner and a noble affair and that too with the woman who will become her daughter-in-law. He was quite outraged. He inquired about it and got to know the details of Lucifer.

“ This has become a mess, I know my daughter is not the type to do this type of thing. So, I called her here, then we can ask her directly. Let's wait for her.” Salvo family’s Patriarch said frowning his eyebrows.

As there were talking about what to do further. Thessa arrived at the main hall where the discussion was going on. She saw her father and Flaming family was also present. She is the gist of what is going on. It should be about the rumors. She is a very intellectual woman and calculative. So she came into the hall bow in front of both family Patriarchs.

“ Thessa you have come, now tell me about these rumors about you and the commoner bastard.” Salvo family’s patriarch snorted.

“ Father it is exactly like what you heard, it is just a rumor nothing more. I was just having fun with a little boy nothing more. There is no meaning to things I did.” Thessa said with a calm expression on her face. Even though there were a lot of people in the hall including the Flaming family she did not hesitate even a bit. She was not nervous at all.

After hearing the atmosphere in the hall loosened a bit and the expressions of men changed. It is very common for nobles to pick up commoners if they fancy anyone and after they have done with them and they will be disposed of like a waste.  

“hmm, so it is like that, just as you see Flaming family present here came with a marriage proposal. What is your decision about this marriage,” he asked his daughter.

“ A proposal from Flaming family, it will be my honor to marry into Flaming family. I am very privileged,” she said with a little smile.

Hearing this Flaming family’s eldest son Mark was delighted and finally, he got the approval of the lady.

“It is settled then we will make it official with a grand engagement party. As I have some important matters to attend so will take my leave.” The flaming family patriarch said and he left. He doesn’t often come to the kingdom and is very busy with other stuff. Now he came here for his son, now that matter is settled he left.

Mark while moving out he stopped near Thessa and said “ Next time if you want to have fun, you can tell me”.  after whispering to her he left with others. Thessa was just standing there with a glazed expression.

After a while when everyone left only Thessa and her father remained.

“ Thessa how did you know that he will come with such a proposal after hearing the news. I was surprised to see the Flaming’s patriarch directly knocking on our door. Your plan worked well.” Thessa father said with a smirk on his face.

“ Well, everything went according to my plan. They were waiting for us to come up with a marriage proposal and although they have a lot of powerful families coming to them with marriage proposals they would not miss our family and I know that Mark Flaming likes, I just gave him a little push and here we got what we wanted. After this marriage, our family in this kingdom will be very powerful and we can reach out to the empire.” she said with a smile on her face, if you look at her now she looked like a witch.

“ Well done and you should take of that boy and his before the ceremony, it will be better to do as soon as possible.” Thessa father said with curled up his lips.

“ I will take care of it” as she spoke she left the hall.

Unaware of all this scheming lucifer was doing his run up the mountains. When he reached the top of the mountain, he sat on a stone relaxed for while, and just like that, it was dawn. He was about to get up and go down the mountain. He saw a few large eagles flying towards him and as there came within his reach

He saw a man and woman tied in ropes together and both were hanging down. Lucifer saw both people and he was terrified and his legs shaking unable to stand.

Both men and women were his parents and as he saw them like that he was petrified and didn’t know what to do.

His parents were thrown in front of him, he rushed to them and tried to free them. Then came a few others.
