The Luna's Rebirth

Chapter 2

Jasmine POV

"All I ever did for you was help you. I even raised you up and fed you. Gave you a place in the pack, when everyone wanted you dead. What did you end up doing? You failed your first assignment and even lied to my husband that I poisoned his drink."

I knelt before the Luna in her room, as the maids tried to fix her nails. I did not dare look up at her face because she did not like it.

"My Luna please!" I begged.

"Why are you begging me? It is clear at this point that you want to compete with me for the Luna position. Isn't it?" She asked.

I lacked words to defend myself. If I tell her about what she intends to do, I know she would change her plans.

"It is obvious I am right after all. Soldiers!" I gasped as strong hands grabbed me forcefully from the ground. "I want you to beat her mercilessly and throw her in the dungeon afterwards."

All my pleas are ignored, as the guards forcefully get me out of the room. They pulled me through the floor to s dark room.

"You will learn to respect the Luna." I screamed as I felt the impact of a whip on my back. I could not move any part of my body as I was being held down.

Crack!

I felt another whip on my body and knew I was going to loose consciousness.

"On the second note, I want her thrown into the dungeon. I will think of what to do to her later on." I looked up to see Elena standing at the entrance of the door with her maids by her side.

I need to be patient, I know I am going to have my revenge on her soon or later and I could not wait to see the pain in her eyes.

The soldiers forcefully took me up from the floor and we moved through the hallway, till we arrived at the dungeon. I was thrown into the cold cell, which had a smell that could make anyone puke.

As I watch the soldiers leave, I dropped down to the ground and tears filled my eyes, realizing that I had lost a child in my last life i did not even get to see what my son looked like.

My thoughts will be cut short, as I heard footsteps. I looked through the iron bar, but there was no one at sight.

The footsteps becsme louder and soon I noticed a shadow creep up to the dungeon and a masked soldier came to view. I stepped back, seeing that he had a sword in his hands.

"No!" I said, realizing what he intends to do.

"It's over." He said and raised his sword, ready to strike while I close my eyes and waited for the impact. I opened my eyes almost immediately, as I heard a loud growl behind us and the soldier is tackled to the floor and I watch in horror as a humongously large black wolf tore his body into pieces.

I dragged myself backwards, seeing that he had turned to my direction.

"Please, don't hurt me." I mentioned, but suddenly felt a connection with the wolf. There was something about his eyes that were irresistible.

The wolf shifted back to its human form and I gasped, realizing it was Alpha Axel. His eyes landed on mine and he approached me.

I was drawn to his presence and I felt a little bit of comfort, as he raised my chin and looked into my eyes.

"I never thought I was going to have a mate again." He begin, holding up one of my hands. "The moon goddess decides to give you to me as mate. I haven't forgotten what you did earlier."

My heart raced, realizing that the mate bond was working and I was at the verge of being rejected.

"But I won't reject you."

"Your highness." The dungeons door opened and the Beta stepped inside, but halted his steps seeing our closure. "I found my mate Dorian. Send words to the maids to prepare the bath, my mate needs to clean up."

I smiled inwardly realizing I had captured the heart of my mate and not the opposite way around. He pulled me closer to himself, as we stepped out of the dungeon.

"I cannot wait for the coronation and make you mine fully." He expressed and while I smiled, my heart was weary of Elena. I could not wait to see her reaction to the news.

He let go of my hand and the maid took over their duty, bathing me up and getting me dressed in a royal gown.

The Beta Dorian arrived after minutes of being dressed. "The Alpha King will like you to grace his court for your unveiling to the council men."

"Council men?" I felt indifferent about meeting the people, who were most likely to judge me because I was never a member of their pack.

I was nervous to see their reaction. What was everyone going to say, when they find out that a non pack member is the mate of the Alpha King.

The Beta ushered me through the hall way, until we arrived at the court room. My feets were beginning to fail me, as I walked through their midst, while they all stared at me.

I looked up to see Elena had risen to her feet, shock gracing her face.

"Face the council men." Alpha Axel ordered, after I acknowledged him on the throne. I turned to look at everyone at the council.

"Today, the moon goddess has been kind to me that after several years of waiting for my mate, she has decided to grant me my biggest desire. Members of Iron Claw Pack, behold my mate and soon to be Luna." The Alpha announced and a loud murmur erupted across the room.

"This must be some sort of joke!" Elena's voice echoed around the room.
