Chapter Ten

I flinched as I sat in my room, wrapping my now b****y and blistered fists. I'd spent so long punching that bag in the training room that my hands suffered a little. I sighed, looking down at my wrapped fists. how was I meant to fight someone when I didn't even know their weaknesses, or anything?! I wondered... Maybe that was it! With a flash, I telaported to the training room, I looked around and seen Jade sparring with that pink haired boy from before. I was looking for Kio, but I was curious about that scrawny boy, I wondered if my hunch was right, and if he really was stronger. I took a deep breath, the air filling my lungs felt high with tension, and in a blink, the two began to fight. I watched as Jade through some quick punches, but the pink haired boy dogde each one and countered, all his blows hit, but none of Jade's blows so kuch as came close to touching him. The boy was truly impressive, which was strange since he looked no more then twelve years of age. I watched wide eyed as the pink haired boy sent a final punch sending Jade flying, her curly hair whooshing in the air, as she slammed hard against the wall, I couldn't help but flinch at the bone crushing sound. The pink haired boy then turned to me. "You want to spar?" I quickly shook my head, my heart pounding. He threw Jade across the room like it was nothing! Even I knew I was no match for him, if I couldn't beat Jade, I'd stand no chance against him. The pink haired boy shrugged and sat down on a nearby bench, taking a sip of water, he didn't look at all exhausted, while Jade stumbled as she walked. "Pathetic as usual." The pink haired boy said not looking over at Jade. Jade glared. "oh really Miles? Why not try fighting Cole then? Huh?!" Her voice was filled with venom and rage. The pink haired boy, who's name I now knew was miles shuddered. "no way, that guys a beast. Besides, even I'm not stupid enough to fight with the first rank!" "Chicken." Jade smirked, but immediately regretted her remark, when in a flash, miles punched her, sending her flying again. "Say it again, and you loose a limb." Even I shuddered at the words. How could someone so tiny be that scary?? He even had pink hair! Yet he was more scary the Kio! I sighed. "Do either of you know where Kio is? I wanted to talk to him about something." Both of them turned to me, Jade rubbed her bruised head and shook it. "Only place I'd guess is his room, and your not allowed there." Miles nodded in agreement. "Why are you looking for him anyway? Wanna challenge the fifth rank so soon?" My eyes widen and I quickly shook my head. "No way! It's too soon!" Miles grinned, leaning forward. "So you DO intend to fight the fifth rank eventually?" I froze. "I mean... I thought you'd already put that together!" Jade shrugged. "Yeah, we just didn't know if you were really that stupid yet." I glared at Jade. Why did everyone here have such a big attitude? Now thag I thought of it... Kio seemed to be the most welcoming and have the least attitude, that seemed odd saying as in he was the leader around here. "I'm not stupid." Miles tapped his chin. "she might be right, I mean... She did make you bleed, if she can do that, she might have a chance against Marcus." Jade scoffed. "I let her hit me." Miles smirked. "Sure you did." He said sarcastically, standing up from the bench. "Anyway, if your not looking for Kio to challenge Marcus, why do you want to find him?" I sighed. Maybe if they thought I had a good reason they'd help me find him? It was better then nothing. It WOULD sound idiotic though, especially after refusing to spar with Miles, but Kio seemed nicer then miles, surly he'd go easy. If I wanted any real practice I had to spar, and who better to practice with then Kio? He was strongest, and... If by some miracle I had a chance while sparing with him to kill him. I'd take it and would have no reason to kill Marcus! "I want to spar with him."
