Ellen forced herself to stand up and although she still felt a little dizzy she still managed.
Her eyes were at the person who had just identified herself as someone not from her earth. On other times she could have just laughed it off, brush off everything she had just heard, everything Rey had explained but she couldn't, there were just too many unexplainable facts to do that.
"How is it that you can feel we are about to have some company?"
She asked the only question that she could think of.
"I think I get that you are not from here but still how?" She added.
"In short terms, I have stronger sense, its one of the things I inherited from my dad." Rey answered simply.
"How far do you think they are." Ellen turned to the door.
"Two minutes away." Rey stated.
"How can you tell that?" Ellen raised an eyebrow at her.
"Simple calculation." Rey answered softly.
"Alright, will you be okay?"
"I will be, just make sure non of them make a mess, I won't be held responsible for what might happen." Rey answered, she wasn't at any chance trying to scare her, she was standing her ground and that meant doing what she had been taught and one was to always protect yourself to the death, two, never ever be prepared to lose and there was no way she was breaking those two rules whether or not she was the stranger in the human earth.
"Ca-" Ellen wanted to say something but before she could complete what she wanted to say, a guy who had the exact fair skin like her's, with spiky dark hair, dark eyes was maybe 5'11 just an inch shorter than Rey's fiance back home and was accompanied by a woman who had a lighter skin tone compared to them but with brown eyes and with a shoulder length brown hair and the same leather clothes and boots as the guy who stood directing his eyes at Rey.
"I didn't know we were having guests." He said in a very sarcastic tone and Rey didn't understand if he was being serious or he was just being himself, so she diverted her eyes to the woman he was with and the explosions of some dark energy that was being emitted by her gave her a very bad feeling, not because of fear but because she had felt that same thing inside herself for the last couple of months, she thought they were results of the hard training she was undergoing each and every morning but that was not the case so she took a few steps away from them and gave them space watching them argue back and forth.
"I cannot talk right now, Eli." Ellen tried to push them towards the door.
"You cannot welcome people you don't know, I thought that was clear." The guy stated a huge frown in his face.
"He is right." The woman rolled her eyes holding the door lock.
She has to leave! This is my home and I will not let her live here!
Rey closed her eyes for a while after reading her thoughts and opened them staring hard at the woman with Eli, she didn't want to read either of their thoughts, she could prevent that from happening but her new environment was messing that up, it wasn't intentional so she fixed her gaze at Eli allowing the air between them to pass while she forced her entire body to remain calm, he was different she felt that but she still wanted to read his mind, know what he was thinking but before she could they both walked out but not before she could hear them once more, the woman's thoughts.
You will not like whats coming stranger. I sure do hope you will be ready, I am not like Ellen who is all so trusting I will have to show you that. I hope my two new soldiers are ready to try out their new careers.
No one is supposed to make any threats to me, no one! Rey thought her eyes at the opened door which Ellen was closing.
"Is everything alright?" Ellen asked her.
"Yes, who are those two?" Rey asked in the most calm voice.
"Eli is my older brother, and the woman he was with is his patner in crime may I say, she is Halsey." Ellen explained.
"She is not a good person and neither is he." Rey stated.
"Am sorry that they are like that." A voice coming from upstairs said.
"But they are good people." She added walking over to Rey, a light brown woman with brown short curls, hazel like eyes, bare footed in a black trouser, and white sleeveles t-shirt which made it easier for anyone to see the large rose tatoo on her left arm.
"You are?" Rey asked her.
"Haley." She smiled at her.
"I am Halsey's younger half sister, I know you can tell we have different skin tones" She added.
"Okay." Rey took a sit and so did Ellen and Haley, though from a different sofa.
"You helped Ellen pick me from the place she found me." Rey said staring at her.
"Yes, I hope you are doing good." Haley said.
"Yes and you don't have to explain where you were, you handle the cctv room in this house." Rey claimed.
"You really are an alien." Ellen exclaimed.
"Is it okay if I ask a question?" Haley asked.
"Yes." Rey replied softly.
"What would happen if you never get home?" Haley asked, she hadn't dared to think about that herself but Rey knew it was a possibility and while that was a fact she couldn't face it, however hard it was, she knew she had to get back home because a home, a place where many would perish if she was not there was waiting for her.
"I have to do everything I can to not allow that to happen." Rey answered rubbing the royal seal with her thumb.
"How is your life back home?" Ellen asked breaking the sudden silence.
"Its the best, I have lived my best life back at home, and like I told you I am a princess, a queen in waiting and am also a royal head guard." Rey explained and the smile on her face was just inevitable.
"And your parents?" Haley asked.
"Its only my mom, the queen, my dad died before I was named a head guardian."
"Am sorry, I mean about your dad." Haley said and Rey noticed something, Haley was showing her sympathy because of what her father's death could have caused but she didn't feel it, so she just shook her head and turned her attention back to Haley and Ellen.
"What about the one you are supposed to marry?" Ellen asked.
"His name is Eyken Rezihr, unlike me he has the gift to stop time, a trained guardian and I can say he is my mother's best friend." Rey smiled again, talking of things that brought joy to her seemed to change her in a way.
"What else can you do, excepct read minds or sense things?" Ellen asked suddenly.
"I was supposed to get another gift my own when I turned year eighteen and seven years later that hasn't happened yet." Rey explained.
"What did you get from your mother?" Haley asked her.
"Mind reading and being swift in terms of doing things in a hurry like fighting."
"Okay, anything else we should know?" Ellen asked.
"I am a royal head guardian and you do not just become one over night."
"What is the worst thing that you had to go through to become one?" Haley asked.
"I was kept in a container that was full of ice for a whole month." Rey shrugged like it was just a normal thing.
"What?" Both Ellen and Haley gasped.
"I am officialy am terrified." Haley stood up.
"Its normal." Rey said watching her walk away while Ellen stood too.
"You can stay until you fiqure a way back home, its dark already, I will go prepare a room for you." Ellen said tying to control her breathing.
"Don't worry about it, I will be okay where I am." Rey stopped her.
"Alright, I am in the first room on the hallway if you need anything." Ellen said to her.
"Ellen, Haley." Rey called after them before they disappeared up the stairs.
"Do not come out of your rooms tonight."
"What?" Haley raised an eyebrow at her.
"Don't, no matter what!" Rey used the tone she always used to keep anyone away and she knew they would heed to her warning seeing their changed expression before they both headed up stairs.
"All this is too much, I don't know what I will be forced to do, this is not how I planned for this day to go, but I am an Octus Nova person and no one defeats me or gets to think that they can, I will have to handle whatever is in store the way I would handle all my enemies!" She mumbled glancing at the huge window on right side as the moon faded.
