Nick groaned. His arms were stiff and locked in one place, but trying to move them and ease the ache was impossible. Every bit of him throbbed with a low-level, insistent soreness. He pried his eyes open and took a look around, mostly in a ploy to fend off the nasty memories barging to the forefront of his mind. How Todd’s flesh felt as it moved against his, not in any loving way, was fresh on Nick’s skin, lingering with actions he desperately wanted to forget. The cot he was on was pushed against a wall.
