Leaning back in his chair, Nick scooped the book of paired names off the table and flipped through the pages. In the week since they’d been back home, either he or Todd had the thing in their possession at all times. Todd stuck it under their pillow at night. “Taking a break?” Todd asked from the library doorway. “Why these people?” Nick held the book up and turned to his mate. “I’ve been through this book dozens of times, and I still can’t figure out, why these people?
