The prom was everything I expected and more. However, I needed to discuss something with Jordan before it ended. As the night went on, I was having a great time dancing with Lathan and connecting with my friends. I felt beautiful in my gorgeous dress and didn't think it could get any better. The principal walked up on the stage and tapped the microphone. Everyone stopped talking. It was time to announce the King and Queen of the Jr. Prom. My heart swelled with pride and excitement when she first announced Lathan as the prom king.
