Chapter Four: Due Farkas has escaped.

FENRIR'S POV

"Alpha!!" A guard suddenly called out to me, dashing into my office. I had been pacing around, in worry for Aria's health and I didn't want to be disturbed.

"What?" I asked, almost immediately in irritation.

"I asked no one to disturb me," I said, in anger and the guard was quick to bow his head.

"I'm sorry, Alpha but this is urgent." The guard said, with a shaky tone and I frowned. I did not know what could be more urgent than Aria's health.

"Speak!" I ordered.

"Due Farkas has escaped!" The guard said and I froze. I did not think that I heard him correctly.

"What did you say?" I asked, just to be sure.

"Due Farkas has escaped. It was discovered in the early hours of today that she had escaped and it should be since last night." The guard dropped the bombshell and as he said every one of his words, I saw red.

Before he knew what was happening, I dashed toward him and held him by the neck. I was angry and my grip on his neck was so strong.

"Who did it? Who let that b***h out?" I asked, knowing that Due would never be able to escape on her own.

"I... I...don't know, Alpha." I heard the guard struggle to say. In the next second, I let go of him. His body landed on the ground while he let out fits of cough.

How could I have let her escape so easily? I wanted to crush her and feed her to the wolves due to what she had done to my baby.

"Summon all the guards! Every one of her maids should be in attendance at the training grounds! Now!" I ordered, in anger.

"Yes, Alpha!" The guard replied and was quick to stand up to affect my order. I so desperately wanted to find out who helped that b***h escape! Curse was the day I met her!

As I marched to the training grounds, the guards and maids were already waiting and they stood at attention. My eyes swept all around but it seemed that they didn't even know why they were called out.

"One chance! I'll give just one chance to whoever helped Due escape! Just one chance to spill the truth!" I said.

"And if you don't speak the truth now and I eventually find out on my own, you are doomed!" I declared and they all gasped in shock.

Most of the maids were surprised to know that Due Farkas had escaped from prison except the guards. They started to murmur in unison and it was torture to my soul.

"One!" I counted as I slowly took out a gun. I was ready to fire at anybody just to get the culprit out. At this point, I just wanted to avenge my dead child and console Aria for whatever pain she was feeling.

"Two!!" I thundered and swiftly, shut a bullet in the air.

"Ahhh!!!" They all screamed, in fear and most of them went on their knees, pleading. They obviously didn't want to die and none wanted to confess to their crimes.

"Three!!" I thundered and it was the last chance. I zeroed in on Due's attendant and I marched toward her, furiously.

"You are not going to spill the truth, huh?" I asked and she was quick to bow her head with my gun pointed at her.

"Please, Alpha. I'm innocent...." She pleaded but then I snorted. My heart was dead set on making her an example and as I was about to shoot at her legs, my Beta suddenly rushed in urgently.

"Alpha, one of the guards is missing. He was in charge of safeguarding Due last night." He said to me and I froze. My eyes dimmed as I realized that I had been fooled.

"Bring Due Farkas to me as well as that guard, before nightfall!" I ordered and he nodded. I had a feeling that Due was still in my Pack and I was determined to teach her a lesson.

For a few more minutes, I was fuming in anger as I walked to Aria's private ward, in the hospital. I needed to tell her about how Due had escaped. She needed to know and I was eager to tell her that she would determine her stepsister's punishment if she was finally found.

However, as I walked toward the ward, I halted as Aria's words flowed out.

"I'm sorry, Damien..." She let out, shakily and with pain in her voice. I was surprised as I had never heard Aria sound so pained and meek. It was like she was a whole new person.

But then I started to wonder who Damien was. In the next second, I took a step forward to see that the door was ajar.

I gasped as I saw Aria, in the arms of another man while she cried in his arms.

"I'm sorry for not keeping our baby. It's all my fault." She said and I was filled with shock. How did things turn out this way?

I thought I was hearing things but the scene before me was the evidence of everything that needed to be known.

The baby I thought I lost turned out not to be mine! At this point, I thought I was going crazy and I was going to lose my mind. Seeing Aria in her secret lover's arms, I felt like a scene was being re-enacted. However, this time, it was me in Due's place.

I felt hurt so bad and I realized how much damage I had done to my mate.

"Ahhhh!!" I yelled in anger as I dashed into the ward. With speed, I dashed toward Aria as she screamed, in shock. Before she knew what was happening, I held her by the throat and squeezed her neck tightly.

"You will pay for this, Aria!" I declared with red eyes as I struggled to control my emotions.

"Please..." She let out and it seemed like she was going to die in the next second. Swiftly, I threw her to the ground, in anger. As her body landed on the floor and I looked at her, as well as her secret lover who had gone into hiding, I realized what a big mistake I made.

Due had loved me so deeply and all I did was push her away. How could I be so stupid? It was at this moment that I realized that I would fight for my love. She was all I have now.
