CHEESE AND DISCONTENT
“Call Cylindrus, the cook,” Clara declared from the doorway of Erotium’s domus upon the rehearsal stage. “Out of doors this moment from within.”
Rufio watched Clara again from his seat, the same as he had done for many days during their rehearsals. In fact, all the company watched Clara slowly come into her own again - as Felix had said she would!
For days they had rehearsed the opening episodes between Erotium, Menaechmus of Epidamnus and Peniculus, and for days Felix had taken the time to help Clara bring to fruition his vision of Erotium, or rather to rediscover the Erotium that Clara had breathed life into so many years before.
During that time, Rufio had felt swept away in memory, as if the past had faded into some early morning mist hovering over the loam
