EPILOGUS The Gods bore witness to many things since the day of that theatrical success in Rome, a time when there had been more laughter and song than at any other moment in recent memory. The Gods, such as they were, could not help but be pleased at the outcome, their divine applause led by Venus and Apollo, as well as by She who had set the events in motion. Some say the Gods do not really have a hand in the everyday lives of mortals, that they cannot be bothered.
