Sawyer didn’t respond to her immediately. The few parts of his world she had encountered so far had been almost fatal to her. She had been hurt by him, nearly killed by Matt and Olivia, and then been close to death because of the vision she had. He blamed himself for that – she would never have had any kind of psychic ability if it wasn’t for him, and her human body didn’t seem like it could cope with the things it wasn’t programmed to do. He was scared that drawing her further into this would kill her.
Elizabeth was watching him, waiting patiently for a response. When it didn’t come, she reached out to rest her hand on his leg, in attempt to comfort him. He stood up before she could.
“I don’t think we should do that for a while.”
