Chapter two

Seonnyre had been stabbed before, but not with a nightshade infused dagger that was growing every time she shifted slightly. Seonnyre kept on trying not to move, but she hated to admit it, but she NEEDED to get home to Argonne, or any healer, for that matter. She wasn't sure if it was the nightshade getting to her, or the loss of blood, or both. She rolled slightly onto her side and gently pulled on the dagger handle with a soft grunt. Seonnyre had gotten impaled pretty far, about the length of her forearm. Part of her just wanted to pull it out, the other side of her told her to just leave it. She sent out a wave of vibrations, praying someone would hear her. Argonne "Any sign of her?" He asked, his talons fidgeting nervously. The dragon he pulled aside shook her head. "No, I'm sorry." He sighed. It had been eight weeks Seonnyre free. Argonne was starting to freak out. Drogonne sent Cave out to find Seonnyre, and if she failed, he didn't know what he would do. "Thanks, Cave." She nodded and gently stroked his shoulder. "I'll keep looking." He nodded, hating to see her go, again. Seonnyre She staggered alongside a flowing river, grateful to finally get some water. Seonnyre had waited too long for water. Should've left a few days in advance, like her mind was telling her to, but her body was screaming in agonizing pain. She ran her talons through the streaming river then carefully placed them alongside her cut with a wince. Making her way to Drisdal caused the dagger to slice down further. Just a little more and I'll be able to work at, and the muzzle. She wasn't sure which to start with. Not yet, though. Help is what she needs. If not Argonne, Cave. Those were the two she felt like she could trust. Tirsynthe She looked down the deep fissure in the middle of Serene, trying to recollect her thoughts. Seonnyre was nowhere up here, so Drisdal was her next guess, the home of darkdwellers. Doubt it, but not impossible. She took a deep breath and proceeded down, before losing her grip. Thankfully, the ground wasn't horribly far below. Tirsynthe heard a twig snap close to her. She staggered to her talons, looking into the eyes of a Darkdweller.
