Argonne and Caverne slowly helped Seonnyre down into a soft hammock in Archer's home. They had found him about a couple of days ago. He was sure relieved to see Tirsynthe again. Seonnyre winced. "Never did get used to sleeping in a hammock, not that darkdwellers are welcome here." She remarked at Archer before snuggling down into warmth.
"It's nothing I can help you with. It would be Darione's call, not mine. Believe me. If I could, I would."
She snorted and muttered under her breath. "Not that you would."
"Is there anything I can help with?"
"Yeah, be a doll and put in a good word for darkdwellers to Darione. " Seonnyre's figure slumped down in the soft fabric.
Tirsynthe nudged his wings. "She's been a little snarky since we got together. She's in a lot of pain, Archie. "
"That's a pitiful excuse, to be savage to another dragon. "
"She hasn't exactly been taken care of, until she got up here. "
"What, you mean missing out on a couple meals every now and then?"
"Um, no. Try only a couple meals every now and then. "
His face fell. "You're joking, right?"
"Wish she was." Seonnyre called out from the hammock.
Archer was shocked, and upset at hearing this. "You don't eat?"
"Not when our resources are scarce. The young and elders get fed first, followed by expecting females. Juveniles and immortals eat last."
Argonne nodded. "We end up going hungry most nights. "
"That sucks."
"We don't need to hear it from a toxic, well- fed spoiled, rotten brat."
"Seonnyre, shhhhhhh."
"No, it's okay, I get it. It would be hard for someone who had never missed a meal in their life to understand someone who's only had a couple of meals every so often."
He heard Seonnyre scoff. "I'm going to get some sleep."
"During the day?"
"Yeah, during the day, stupid. Argonne and I are nocturnes."
"Is she always this bristly?"
"With little sleep and an empty stomach? Definitely."
"Then shouldn't you get some sleep?"
"Not really tired, but thanks. "
"Yes, you are, " he patted Argonne on the shoulder, "Just get some rest. I'll take care of Seonnyre from here. "
