The bathroom was thick with steam, but it was nothing compared to the heat curling in Elara’s stomach. She stepped out of the massive marble tub, her skin flushed and tingling. The terror of the mountain was gone, replaced by a thrumming, electric energy. She dried off and slipped into the black silk robe Lucian had left for her.
