Chapter 7: Invitation To A Party

Kael's POV
I laid on my bed tiredly, my wrists hurt a little from practice and trying to impress Milky, but I impressed her though.
My parents made the best decision by hiring Milky to be my tutor. At least they did one thing right for me, I could easily make her do my biddings, my previous tutors were assholes.
I took out my Maths notebook and I did my homework by myself- for the first time ever. Since Milky already taught me the topic, I decided to give it a try and I do not want to bother her too much. I already wasted her time by making her watch me practice.
My phone beeped beside me, I got a message. I checked it quickly. It was an invitation to Adrienne’s birthday party.
Attending Adrienne’s birthday party is fine by me, but I had a little problem, it says- come with a friend, I don't have any friends aside Adrienne; he is the birthday boy, so who do I bring along to the party?
My mind wandered to the person that would go with me without a choice- Milky. I would make her accompany me to the party.

“Here it is,” Milky handed me the snacks I sent her.
I collected it and started eating it, and she proceeded to take her leave.
“Sit,” I told her.
“You have tasted the snacks, I can leave now,” she said almost eagerly, like she had somewhere more important to be.
“You know I won't repeat myself,” I muttered coldly.
“Fine,” she shrugged before sitting down.
“You must accompany me to a party tomorrow,” I said nonchalantly.
“Tomorrow is a weekend Kael, I don't get to do stuff for you on weekends.”
“This is to help yourself Milky, if you accompany me to the party, you would get to tutor me for the whole of next week.”
Her eyes widened a little, she scratched her hair nervously which made her oversize glasses bounce on her face.
“I would try,” she muttered.
I don't take ‘maybes’, only ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
“You must come.”
“Alright… I will come… Can I go now?” She said getting up.
Why is she in such a hurry to get away from me? Adrienne the guys are planning his birthday. Who would keep me company?
“You can,” I gritted my teeth and she walked off at once.
Emptiness washed through me immediately she left. Something about her company makes me feel relieved, in a way I feel complete, that's one of the reasons I like having her by my side.
But I would never tell that to her, I would continue making her run errands for me till we graduate, and after we graduate… I shouldn’t be thinking about that.
“Hey Kael,” Jenny walked towards me, “You are sitting alone?” she said in a question-like tone.
Yeah, I am sitting alone, she isn't blind.
“You shouldn't be sitting alone when you have me,” she sat beside me.
I have her? Who does she think she is? My girlfriend?
“I don't need you.”
“Don't be mean Kael, you are probably bored sitting all by yourself.”
“I didn't say I was.”
It's kinda weird that I broke up with Linda three months ago, but her stupid friend is hitting on me. What did I expect? She has been giving signs even before we broke up.
“I know you are. I know you a lot more than you think Kael,” She said in a slutty voice as she played with her hair.
She doesn't know a thing about me, no one does, aside from Milky- only Milky knows things about me.
“Stop lying to yourself.”
She moved a little closer to me, our shoulders started to touch. She held my hand and took it to her thighs… using my hand to graze the skin below her short mini skirt.
“Kael?” She called.
“Don't do that Jenny,” I took my hand away from her thigh.
“When was the last time you got laid?” She asked as she stared at me like someone seeking for serious answers.
“None of your business… I don't wanna f**k you.”
“But I wanna f**k you Kael, no strings attached I promise, it's just gonna be two adults having fun.”
Did she really think I was gonna fall for this? She is a cunning snake, she has done this to other guys before and she started blackmailing them.
I leaned closer to her, her eyes shone with excitement. “I don't find you sexy enough to f**k,” I whispered to her.
The glow in her eyes died instantly, she thought I wanted to kiss her or something.
“I am sexy Kael!” she glared at me.
“Piss off Jenny, you are a filthy piss of trash.”
“Just because Linda dumped you doesn't mean you have to make yourself a sadist,” she hissed as she stood up.
I pulled her back to her chair, she groaned a little because I pulled her with a lot of force. I turned to her and wrapped my fingers around her thin neck- strangling her.
“Kael… Kael.. Ka.. please.. p…” She couldn't speak properly.
“Don't ever try that s**t with me again. What happened between Linda and I has nothing to do with you.” I said the words slowly making sure it stuck into her brain.
She wanted to speak but she couldn't as my grip grew tighter around her neck. She tapped on my hands urgently, she was finding it hard to breathe.
I released my fingers, not content but I didn't want her to die.
“Sorry Kael… I am sorry,” she coughed out, trying to catch her breath.
“Just f**k off,” I muttered and she quickly stood up and ran away from my presence.
