Emilio pulled down the secluded dirt road, stopping once we reached the safe house.
Rueben was sleeping in the back, and I even yawned out, ready for bed. But it wasn’t time for bed, I had a little something up my sleeve to show Emilio my love for him.
It’s still surreal, I can’t believe we are engaged! Let alone having this huge rock on my finger! It’s like I’m living someone else’s dream.
Emilio kissed my cheek before leaving the car. He unbuckled Rueben from his car seat, carrying him inside.
“Do you need help with anything Brenda?” I asked out to her
