AMINA’S POV
I woke up to a throbbing pain around my neck as sounds around me starting to echo throughout my ears.
Screams of a child sounded out, bringing me so much confusion. I opened my eyes, adjusting to the darkness.
I looked around and realize we are in a car. I got jilted around as Rio drove crazily down some dirt road.
Rueben screamed out next to me as he cried into his hands.
I pulled him into my arms, not understanding what was going on. I rubbed his back trying to comfort him, but he was too distraught to be comforted.
My memories started to flood back, realizing Rio choked me until I passed out.
