Five hours later and we touched down In Chihuahua, Mexico. I checked the time on my Bulgari Octo watch, it was 2:23am.
Amina was still sound asleep in my arms. I knew she was exhausted because she didn’t wake up as the plane landed.
I unbuckled her from the seat and picked her up, carrying her in my arms.
I made my way outside and over to one of the SUVs that were waiting for us. I put her inside, causing her to stir slightly and wake up.
She grabbed ahold of my shirt, pulling me back towards her as I tried to close the door.
“Don’t leave me.” She whined out
She looked at me with her sleepy eyes, pleading with me to stay with her.
How could I ever say no to her? I guess I won’t be driving us.
