Seeing Rio come here was a shock to say the least. But the words that came out of his mouth were even more of a shock.
He knew how to get under my skin, and he finally did the worst he could do. I wasn’t with Amina, so I couldn’t protect her and the baby like I was supposed to do.
Hearing that he killed her father to lure her out of hiding just made it worse. We fell right into his trap.
I can’t even blame Amina for wanting to go to her father’s funeral. I would do the same thing if I was in her shoes.
I just wish I didn’t surrender.
Surrendering left her vulnerable for an attack from anybody. Rio knew I would do anything to save Amina and made sure she made it to safety. That fucker knew how to separate us!
