The Ancient Luna

Chapter 6

Eden's POV

It's been two weeks since my first shift, and I have been so busy I haven't been able to shift again it sucks, I'm getting restless and irritable. "We can try to sneak out to shift tonight," luna says, I know she's been getting more and more restless as well. "I can try Luna, but Alpha Garrett and his warriors are supposed to be here tomorrow, and I have too much to do."You wouldn't have too much to do if that good for nothing future Alpha and his skank would tell everyone to help instead of pushing it all on you," luna grumbles back. I nod to her in my head. She's right they have been making me do everything with no help, and it's exhausting. I just got done preparing dinner and am getting ready to head to my room. When I hear heels clicking on the floor, I manage to suppress my groan of annoyance. "EDEN, what are you doing? You're supposed to be cleaning the guest rooms. Get up there and get it done NOW!" Cindy's voice gets higher and higher as she talks, and at the end, she's shrieking so loud I'm sure the neighboring pack can hear her. " right away Cindy" I hear Luna grumble in my head "might as well start calling me luna now wolfless b***h since I'm Jackson's mate I'm going to be named luna at the ceremony tomorrow" she says while flicking her hair over her shoulder luna growls and I roll my eyes while looking down. I turn and head towards the bedrooms on the second floor. The alphas guest room is already prepared, so I just have to finish the ones for the warriors. Luna is still grumbling in my head, and it's giving me a headache. " What's wrong luna you've been grumbling since Cindy came into the kitchen?"That pup will ruin this pack as luna, but I'm glad Jackson rejected us he is a weak wolf that does not deserve to be our mate." I smile because she is right Jackson is to worried about his image and being powerful but doesn't realize the b***h he calls his mate is one of the weakest members inthe pack. I finish the first two rooms but while cleaning the third I smell Jackson coming up behind me. "How much do you have left before the visiting alpha gets here?" Is funny because he doesn't even know what alpha is coming let alone that it is the alpha of the most powerful pack in the states. " two more rooms and preping the ingredients for breakfast and lunch for tomorrow alpha" I answer him but never stop making the bed. I feel him come closer and push up against my back grabbing the nape of my neck he pins me to his chest. "You will behave and keep your eyes off the unmated males coming tomorrow do you upstanding me?" I drop the pillow cases I was holding and when I don't answer he squeezes my neck harder "do you understand me?" He growls out "yes alpha Jackson" I answer but do not other wise react to him, he doesn't like this much. He has been doing this for the past two weeks since he rejected me. He always shows up when I'm alone to rub on me and act possessive, it has no effect on me or my wolf other then passing us off. Luna growls in my menacingly. I'm pulled form my thoughts when he burries his nose in my hair and sniffs I shiver at this and feel him smile but he doesn't realize I'm shivering in disgust. "I'll come see you tomorrow night after I mark my mate better be ready cause I will take you any way I want" when he says this I stiffen he doesn't realize I'm leaving during his alpha ceremony, Alpha David and I had planned it that way since everyone will be distracted. I realize I never answered him when he growls loudly " yes alpha I'll be ready" he smiles then turns to leave. I let out the breath I hadn't realized I had been holding and sit on the bed. " thank God we will be gone Luna I wouldn't be able to handle him taking me" "Yes Eden but remember even if he comes before we leave we would be able to kill him for touching us" I hum in agreement before getting up to finish the rest of the rooms. Ugh it's going to be a very long night.
