Garretts POV

This ride to RedRock pack was going slowly we were two hours into the four hour drive and i have spent this whole time going over transfer request and listening to Marcus go on and on about, jesus i forgot how much he spoke on car rides, “hey Garrett what do you think of Jackson becoming alpha?” I thought over his question before answering but I don't think I will ever have a high opinion of Jackson King. “ I think this boy is too arrogant and entitled to lead the pack. He is strong and power hungry but he is more worried about his image then the wellbeing of his pack and those in it so I guess we will see how he matured since the last time we saw him." I sit and think about the fact that I don't think we will continue our allegiance with the RedRock pack after Jackson takes over and I'm not sure what to think of that. Our arrangement with Alpha David Jackson's father was because he was very good friends with my father and after he was killed Alpha David often gave me advice and other help after i had to take over the pack at 19. I'm interrupted by Dom growling and pacing in my head which only gets worse after I connect to him. “Hey Dom what's going on?” “ I'm not sure the closer we get to the pack border the more I feel the need to shift and chase but I don't know what I'm supposed to be chasing.” I hum back to him and decide to lay my head back in rest the rest of the way to redrock. I was woken by Marcuse letting me know we were approaching the pack gate. They don't know we are coming today since the ceremony isn't until tomorrow so the surprise on the guards face when he is informed of who is arriving is a little comical. After he gets permission to let us through i leave the window down to take in my surroundings, that's when i catch a sent in the air that has Dom perking his had up in curiosity and the hair on my neck to stand on end but i fleeting moment i caught the scent wasn't enough to determine what had cause it only that is was spicy but with floral notes as well. I'm interrupted by the vehicle stopping in front of the packhouse where Alpha David and Luna Marie are already waiting but with no sign of the future alpha. I take a deep breath before exiting the car to calm myself and dom prompting my beta to make sure everything is okay. “ Anything wrong alpha your arua is seeping out more than usual?” I hadn't even noticed i was expelling aura so draw it back to myself before nodding and exciting and walking towards the alpha and luna. “ Alpha Garrett its so good to see you son how have you been?” i clasp David's outstretched hand “ Alpha David the pleasure is all mine and i'm well thank you for the invite to your son's alpha ceremony, speaking of where is the…'' before i can finish i hear a high pitch giggling and and the door behind Davis swings open and out steps Jackson King in all his arrogant glory with plastic barbie on his arm that reminds me very much of Sasha back home. “ Alpha GArrett what a surprise to see you today. Thank you so much for accepting the invitation to my alpha ceremony.” I shake his hand immediately, letting i go. “Pleasure is mine future alpha”. “Might i introduce my mate and future luna cindy.'' I shake her hand and nod in greeting, turning back to David and Marie. “ i hope coming a day early won't be a problem for you marie. I say while she smiles while wrapping her hand around my arm. “Not at all Garrett, why don't we show you and your men to your rooms and let you get settled, dinner should be ready in about 30 minutes and we can catch up during the meal.” “that sounds lovely Marie. Lead the way.” I followed her inside but was instantly surrounded by the most delicious smell. It's the same smell caught a hint of while pulling in and now its so strong i can immediately tell that it is cinnamon and lavender, a stange mix for sure but one that works so well and i can't suck in enough to please me. I notice Dom go stll before hoping around while screaming “Mate,Mate,Mate.
