Chapter 11

Eden's POV

When I open my eyes I am in a clearing surrounded by flowers with the sun shining brightly above me. I'm confused, the last thing I remember is laying on my bed and asking Luna to stop my bleeding. Maybe I died and this is heaven. I never thought I would end up here, especially with how much I thought about killing Jackson and Cindy. I spin in a circle before catching sight of glowing eyes in the trees, i should probably be scared but i feel so drawn to those eyes that i start heading towards them. When i get close the eyes step out from the trees and i gasp, there standing in front of me is my beautiful wolf Luna. “Luna, what's going on? Did we die?” She steps up to me leaning down to rub her forehead against mine and I soak up the ability to hold my own wolf. “We are not dead sweet girl just in a coma. Someone very special was able to get to us in time. That's a conversation for you to have with someone else though follow me.” She turns and starts to walk back towards the trees and I follow with my hand on her back, I'm not quite ready to let go of her yet. Luna has been my only companion for years and her being here is a major comfort, but i'm also curious as to where exactly we are going but before i can ask we exit the wooded area again and in front of me is a magnificent sparkling lake with wolves of all different colors surrounding it. There in the middle of a group of wolves and a women so beautiful it is hard to believe she is real, when she turns and sees us coming towards her she dismisses the wolves and smiles big at me. I step closer to Luna because i am completely confuse as to what is happening to me. “Dear Eden do not fret I mean you no harm and will only keep you for a little bit longer.” her voice tinkles like bells and I notice the wolves in our vicinity are watching us both like they are expecting something to happen. “ Um, I'm very sorry but do I know you?” i ask politely, “ah yes you would know me best as the moon Goddess” she says it so simply like i'm not in the presence of a goddess but not just any goddess THE goddess the creator of the wolves, the mother to all. I'm still gaping when she laughs and signals for me to join her where she sits in the grass. I sit next to her but not so close as to disrespect her but she just smiles again and looks at me like she is a proud mother which I guess to an extent she is. “ Eden, I had Luna bring you to me so I can prepare you for the fight to come before I return you to your mate.” my eyes bug out at what she says, “umm im sorry but what fight, and i no longer have a mate he rejected me.” I look down in shame at not being worthy of the mate she gifted me. “Oh sweet girl Jackson was never your true fated mate and I am sorry that I had to pair him with you but the magic of a broken mate bond was the only thing strong enough to break the binding spell put on your powers and luna. You true mate hasn't left your side since he found you in that closet.'' I stare at her completely shocked and confused. “So you never intended for me to be paired with jackson?” “ Dear goddess no, he is a strong wolf but still not strong enough for you or Luna and to add to that dear Luna has an eternal mate.” I open my mouth but she quickly continues before I can ask what she means. “ Luna is the wolf spirit I made for the daughter of my very first pair of wolves and she had to wait till her 13th human in order to meet her mate Dominic and they have been mated in every life since and every life that is to come for them.” Luna is lounging in front of us and when I look at her I swear if she could she would have the most gentle smile on her face at the mention of her mate. I smile at the thought that she has that kind of love but I can't help feeling a little jealous. “Garrett will also be a perfect match to you my dear” that almost stops my breathing and i freeze, she can't be talking about alpha Garrett of the Black River Pack can she. He is told to be ruthless and bloodthirsty. I silently start to frack out a little bit at the prospect of being mated to him. I'm about to argue when she interrupts me. “Calm yourself sweet girl, I can hear your heartbeat accelerate but do not fear. Yes Garrett is ruthless when it comes to the protection of his pack but he does not kill without cause just like any good alpha he does what he must to protect those in his pack. He will be wholeheartedly devoted to you and your well being and you will be able to counteract his gruff exterior in public, remember i make no mistakes when it comes to mating everyone has the perfect mate for them or a mate that is supposed to lead them down the path that was chosen for them.'' I nod in agreement, I realized that I am judging my mate on nothing but rumors and should give him a chance to be a mate to me. “Now I must hurry this along. You really must get back before your mate starts raging again. I know you are confused but i need you to remember that you were born to be strong and strong you are do not underestimate yourself and let Luna guide you in your abilities she knows what she is doing. Now i must send you back be prepared to fight for what you have gained and remember i have given you a mate that would rather die than betray you keep that in mind in the future and dont always believe things at first sight, stay safe my dear and i am proud of the women you have become.'' Before I am even able to open my mouth to ask more questions I am thrown back into darkness and am being drawn to the sound of a deep baritone that sends shivers down my spine.
