~Ryker's POV~
I was fuming mad right now. My pregnant mate shouldn't need to f*****g train for this damn war. She needed to rest and relax. I'll allow it because I'm not a total asshole but I'm not happy about it. After our little powwow in Cassis' office; we made our way to the training grounds. It was time for the trial to begin. I could feel AJ's stress next to me as we walked out to the side-by-sides. This was going to be another shitty day for her, and I needed to take her mind off of it if at all possible.
We slid into the backseat of the ATV and I pulled my mate into my lap and wrapped my arms around her middle. I palmed her lower abdomen and nuzzled her neck, inhaling her sweet and intoxicating scent. The smell of the pups intertwined with her natural scent was getting stronger
