Now that it was time to get to talkin' I was suddenly nervous. I'd been so fuming mad last night that I failed to contemplate all that might entail interrogating my aunt and uncle. Ryker must have sensed my uneasiness because he mind-linked me to meet him up in his office. Brunch had dwindled after about an hour and a half and the guys had left a half hours ago to go upstairs to talk tactics. I knew that Ryker wouldn't keep secrets from me and that I wasn't afraid of violence but he was still trying to protect me from the things that might be harder to swallow, particularly my family's pending execution. It was not set in stone yet, but it was a strong possibility as they kidnapped the Alpha and Luna's only daughter.
I didn't bother knocking as I entered Ryker's office. Tate
