DESSERT RECIPES

VIVIAN'S POV I narrowed my eyes and idly patted down my short blond hair. After unwrapping the package that had been delivered, I placed the French fries and hamburger on a round ceramic plate on the dining table. Elena took the wine bottle and poured the contents into a tumbler. Her face sparkled as she drank the sweet red wine. I took a taste of the red liquid, but the spiciness of the fries overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the wine. I felt like I was going to spit it all back up. A few minutes later, I turned on the TV, and it was halfway into my favorite show, "Star-Crossed Lovers," a series that ran for two straight hours from Monday to Friday. "So, you're still watching this?" Elena asked. "Of course," I replied. "I hate TV series. They should just come up with a full movie at once," she said bitterly. "But I like suspense; that’s why I prefer watching TV series," I said excitedly. "f**k suspense. What's that got to do with this?" The wine was having a profound effect on Elena. She was now saying some ridiculous things. "I just hope Nick doesn't get mad at me," I said. "For what?" Elena asked as she took another gulp. "Lemme guess—he also detests TV series like I do, right?" she asked. "I'm talking about the wine you took without his permission," I said. "If he tries s**t, I'm gonna chop off his balls," Elena bragged. "You're sick, Elena," I said before moving towards the kitchen to get warm water. The weather was too frosty for my liking. I tried drinking brandy again, but I felt like I had just drunk a bottle of sunflower oil. It didn't sit well in my stomach, and I promptly vomited. Some time later, Creed and Nicholas came down from the first floor after finishing their conversation upstairs. What were they looking for over here? Creed came straight into the seating area. "Your brother has gone to the restroom," Creed told me as he pulled me up from where I was sitting. "I missed you," he muttered, and I chuckled. He placed his head on my neck and inhaled my scent before delicately pulling back. Nicholas later returned and set the meal on the table. "They specifically prepared this for you, Creed," Nicholas said. "Thanks for the kind gesture. What else can I say?" Creed replied. As he moved toward the dining area, Creed sat down with the cutleries in his hands, eating like royalty with a touch of animalistic behavior. However, my brother Nicholas began behaving strangely. His entire body tensed, and his head bobbed up. I stared at him in confusion. What was actually going on? I soon noticed that he was sniffing the air before he turned and fixed his eyes on Elena. "She's mine!" he hissed, and within a split second, had her in his arms. "My mate," he murmured, placing his head on her neck and kissing her passionately. They couldn’t stop; both started breathing heavily. It was pure ecstasy, but I couldn't stand the sight of such unholy romance. Elena just sat glued to her seat until the kissing session was over. It shocked her to the core. I didn't think I had ever seen Elena look so stunned—not even when she found out Creed was my mate. "Well, I figured out that the main feature of this special night would be the smooches and canoodles only," Elena said, breaking the silence that had enveloped the moment. Nicholas gazed at her in shock at first before giving her a soft peck on the cheek. "I've finally found my mate," he declared, leaning his head against her chest. I smiled broadly at Nicholas. I was happy he had found his mate. He deserved to be with someone he could spend the rest of his life with. Even if she was my closest friend, I knew she would keep him in line, and I was thrilled she wasn't a total stranger. I was glad it was my best friend that the moon goddess chose for my brother. "Goodness gracious! I have a mate!" Elena suddenly squealed. I glanced at Creed, who didn’t seem to care about the drama unfolding. He was too busy typing long paragraphs on his mobile phone. I attempted to get his attention and gently placed my hand on top of his. "Hamburger?" I asked. "Sure." He grinned at me and took my hand. He lifted me off the couch and grabbed a few pieces of hamburger before placing them on a plate and sitting close to me. I took a bite, and my facial expression changed as the familiar taste filled my mouth. Hamburgers were my favorite; they were one of my top snacks from back in the day. "It seems there's way too much for your rest." Creed muttered as he glanced over at my brother and Elena. I watched them sitting in a romantic pose and smiled at both of them. "It doesn't matter. The fact that my brother is happy makes me glad. I'm thrilled he found his mate," I said. "Are you happy you found me too?" Creed asked. "Indeed. Creed, I realize we got off to a rough start, but I understand that it's hard to..." "I'm just not used to it. I've never had a boyfriend, so I’m not good at this relationship stuff." I confessed. "Same with me; never had a girlfriend," he admitted. I gave him a fake smile, and he laughed. "Can we watch a movie together? You know I’m down for anything tonight," he suggested. "Oh, that would be so nice. I can't wait to see it happen right in front of my eyes," I said. "Get changed into your night clothes and we’re good to go," Creed suggested. I turned around and went upstairs to change into my nightwear. "Alright, so I suppose we’re all sleeping over here tonight," Elena said, making herself comfortable on the bed. "I was thinking the same," I said as I slipped into the other bed, suddenly realizing Creed would sleep right next to me. Well, it was going to be one hell of a night. I wouldn't mind if things started getting naughty. I was definitely down for anything. I was sure Creed was more aroused than anything. Who knew what he was planning for tonight? I got lost in these lewd thoughts as desire overwhelmed me and clouded my judgment. I really wanted someone to squeeze and cuddle me tonight, and Creed was fortunate to be that guy. Creed put on a disc and snuggled in close to me. He wrapped his arms around me. It wasn’t long before Creed and I were curled up on our sleeping mattresses. His hands caressed me as I felt every inch of his touch. "I want to believe that you like horror movies, Viv, since this evening's a long marathon for both of us," he said. I sighed and shook my head. "I don’t get you," I frowned. "You will not understand everything I say. Life is not so kind to people unless you can truly relax, but look! You’re lucky to have me here by your side." His voice was soothing as he gently stroked my long hair.
