Nick felt emotionally worn out. This hadn’t been about Kathy at all. It had been about him. All because he had agreed to help out someone his sister loved. If he hadn’t, Gemma Llanos might not have started her obsessive campaign against him.
Then again, if Nick had refused, Kathy and Blanche might have asked someone else to help. And they could have ended up being the target instead of Nick.
Nick was glad that Daniel had cuffed Gemma and was taking her away before Jamie managed to get the cage door open; he wanted to have a few moments alone with the b***h. But then Jamie had pulled Nick into his arms for a fierce embrace, and Nick had forgotten about his anger for the woman who tried to kill him. Just having someone who cared about him there and soothing him helped dissipate
