But the hand didn’t collide with his arms. This time the shape flowed around his limbs, encircling his entire body. Then, with a great burst of wind from the swirling vortex, the shape lifted Hunter and hurled him toward the far wall. Hunter’s arms flailed as he flew, struggling to reorient himself midair so that he’d strike the wall with his synthetic leg to cushion the impact, but the buffeting of the terrible winds around him prevented any such action. He crashed into the solid structure back first with an audible grunt and then remained pinned to the wall by the force of the storm, his feet kicking just above the ground.
