I expect any freelancer in the gate ring could tell you a story about a trap, snare, or some other deadly contraption they encountered at one point or another, even the ones who weren’t out chasing bounties. I know I can recall one in particular that almost ended my story before I found my mother, and I was just running repair work on an old transport.
I was in the middle of tearing out a secondary coolant manifold when I realized the entire power core was on the verge of a runaway meltdown.
