Chapter 47 - DiscoveryYellow school buses rumbled by, exiting the drive when Bill pulled into the Cave of the Winds.
“That looks like a school field trip,” Chris said from the back seat.
“Yeah. The little girl is in there somewhere,” I said watching small children file into the entrance of the cave. “Better go find a parking spot,” I said while Bill paused near the front of the building, which served as the entrance to the cave. Bill swung the SUV around and made the turn into the parking lot.
“Field trip?” Bill said. “But it's a cave. There are no fields.”
Chris and I chuckled.
“It's only a phrase meaning the kids get to go somewhere and learn something outside of their class. They're probably learning geology,” I explained.
“Ah,” Bill said with a nod and pulled into an empty slot.
