ALEJANDRO'S P.O.V. I quietly shut the door behind me and stared at the beauty who occupied my sheets, looking so beautiful as her eyes were closed and her peaceful breathing that I could hear because of the silence surrounding the room. I walked to the side and sat beside her sleeping figure. She had a calm and peaceful expression while her chest motioned in an up and down motion, as a sign of her breath. Staring at her, I once again remembered why my feelings never vanished. That Paulo Vaughn, when I get my hands on him, I will make sure that he wishes he never lived to breathe ever again. It was my mistake, I could have knocked on Dimitri Holmstrom's door to ask for her, but I never did and complicated our lives just more. When I knocked on their door in Greece, I was already too late because I saw how she fell in love with him. "Mr. Holmstrom, Alejandro Romano wants to ask for your presence." I was nervous, and my palms were sweaty as I waited for Dimitri to grant me his presence. I have waited so long for this moment. I finished my business and half law course as I started at the bottom of our company to find out the legal work. Years ago, I wanted to visit Greece to visit my beloved dear Ametrine. But my father never allowed me because he couldn't afford to give me any distraction in my life. So I agreed that I could go and be everywhere I wanted to be once I finished my education. "Alejandro, nice to see you again. You have grown to be such a young and fine man today." He gave a slight nod which I returned to, and I didn't want to stay long and chitchat. "If you may allow, could I speak to your daughter?" He gave a big laugh before wiping a tear that never really even fell from his eyes because of his laughter of joy. He then stopped and looked me dead in the eye. "You must be kidding me, Alejandro. Which daughter? I have six of them." I scratched my head because how could I forget that he had six beautiful daughters. "Ametrine, sir," He gestured his hand behind me. I looked behind and saw a man dressed in a black suit with a wire attached to his tux. "Ms. Ametrine has gone out to meet Paulo Vaughn and has been informed that she might be home late this evening, sir." Then he nodded his head at us and left the study, leaving us both alone. I took a deep breath and felt my heart clenching in jealousy. I should have known that they were not mere friends like last year when I first saw them together in a cafe in America. "Are you willing to wait for her?" He raised a brow at me, and I didn't think twice of any answer to give him. "Of course, sir." "Good." Then he stood up from his chair and walked me to the door. "You must get to her before someone does." He then left me in his study room as he walked away, and I was left to think independently. That older adult doesn't know how patient and persuasive I can be. I'll show him how much patience I have in my body. Coming back to the present time, I placed the extra comfy mattress that I took from the storage room and pillows on the floor. Setting the alarm, I lay on the mattress. I then rested and was excited about taking her around here to our winery in Tuscany. I'm sure she'll be delighted to know what's in store for her. AMETRINE'S P.O.V. Waking up due to a continuous ringing, I groaned, mumbled underneath my breath, and placed my hand all over the bed, looking for my phone. I looked at it and realized it was not mine upon reaching it. Standing up from the bed, I turned to the other side and saw a bedmade, and there was the devil himself sleeping. Staring at him but only to be interrupted once more by the alarm, I took his phone. 1:30 PM TO THE WINERY I chuckled at how silly he was. He made an alarm, but he did not get up. Leaning down to wake him up, I tapped his arm, and just like that, his eyes opened. "s**t, what time is it?" He groaned and looked for his phone, so I handed it to him. He peeked and took a look at the time, his eyes widening as he stood up immediately. "Come on, let's get ready. I'll call Fabio to prepare the car, freshen up." With that, he left the room in a hurry. I glanced at him, bewildered by his rushed actions, but decided to make a move now. Placing my duffel bag on the bed, I rummaged for a perfect and comfortable outfit to wear for today, and that suited me to walk around a winery. A best-selling winery in the world, that is, picking up a black shirt and denim jeans with my sandals, I walked to the door where I thought the bathroom was. Flicking the lights open, I smiled, seeing a bathtub. But then I remembered that he might come barging in if I stayed too long. Locking the door, I took my clothes off and turned on the shower to freshen up but not wet my hair. As I wrapped a towel around my body, I heard the knob turn with the keys. I gasped and immediately tightened the hold of my towel. "F-f**k, I'm sorry," he stammered and shut the door with force. I was surprised and then threw in the clothes I had brought in the bathroom and brushed my hair using the comb I saw. A blush once again crept into my face when I spotted him only in his towel. Bending my head down low, I let him pass me and couldn't stop the electric shocks I felt when his bare muscled arm briefly caressed mine. Putting on my sandals, I sat and waited on the bed while looking at the bathroom door. Though only for a short glimpse, I saw how big his muscles were. And that naughty v-line trailing down to God knows where. "Damn it, stop those thoughts," I told myself, but eventually couldn't stop myself from imagining and getting those dirty things in my head. I'm twenty-eight years old and a virgin, for God's sake, but I wasn't innocent to the opposite s*x. I've been there before but not reached the intimacy level. Running a palm over my face, I got frustrated with myself. Don't try to be an old nun, Ametrine, and you know you want to get married. Why not marry Alejandro? You promised him, right? I must be going crazy now because I can hear my subconscious talking to me. === "Wow." Only one word came out of my mouth as I was standing in the middle of a grape farm or called a winery for the first time in my life. I have been to many wineries, but not as big as this. Not only does the thought of wine excite me, but also the magnificent view that Tuscany has to offer. "I know, right." I felt him beside me; the cold wind flew my hair off as I looked around. I look so ignorant right now, but I don't care because I am truly amazed and very honored to be here right now. From what I know, only a few people have the chance to come to their family winery. It was sacred for them because it has been theirs ever since the eighteen hundreds. "Come, we'll walk around later. Why don't you take a sip of what I have told you about earlier?" He proposed, nodding my head. I let him guide me to the elevated part of the land where chairs and tables were. Sitting down, I couldn't help myself and take a picture of the view. In the corner of my eye, I could see him just looking at me. It made me nervous and giddy inside, but I could discard it for now and be thankful that he gave me this privilege to see their business personally. Well, the winery is not just their business, but also different products. "Why don't we take a picture to capture this moment? Uhm, I mean if you want." I blushed deep red; the Romanos only took official pictures for purposes. I didn't know if we were allowed to. They were like the royal family of Italy. "I'll give you what your heart desires, mi amor." He chuckled at my expression, and I must look dumb because I always blushed at small things. "Hey, I do not desire it. I, you know... wanted to capture the moment," I explained and mumbled the last part of myself. It was unbelievable because, deep inside of me, I wanted a picture of him and me together. Because if he ever meets the woman of his dreams, I could say that we had this kind of scene. "Say cheese," he adorably said, which probably made him more crushable to me. But ugh, no, remember the walls you have built for yourself, Ametrine. We both smiled and looked at the camera, grabbing my phone from his hand. I gazed at the picture. I was surprised to see his arm draped around me because I didn't feel it. Nonetheless, I was still partly happy because we looked like a couple. Fine, I'll admit I like him a bit. Only a bit. Goodness, am I alright? It hasn't even been a week yet since I first saw him again. That doesn't mean that we will get involved romantically. "Ah, here it is. The wine I have told you about." A man dressed in casual clothing handed us the bottle with two glasses. Alejandro thanked him before placing the bottle in front of us. I mentally clapped inside my head because I couldn't wait to taste it. He poured us one-fourth part of the glass, probably wanting to see if I would like it. But before I could drink it, he grabbed my hand. "Shall we make a toast?" "What toast?" He then clinked his glass with mine, "To our future." He winked and drank his, my heart fluttered, and my hands were trembling. God, this is not good. Not good. I took a sip, and immediately a moan came out of my mouth as it hit my taste buds. With the extraordinary amount of sweet, sour, salty, and bitter elements of the wine mixed perfectly, this is perfect. I wanted some more. Taking the bottle, I looked at Alejandro to ask for permission, only to see his pupils dilated. "U-uhm I-" "Go ahead, Ametrine." He spoke in a low voice, making him sexier in my eyes than he could handle. Pouring myself, I took a drink without stopping. And another drink. And another. Then another. Before I knew it, I was giggling like a madwoman. "F-finger licking, so d-delicious." I threw my head back as I tried to reach for the bottle, but Alejandro stopped me and told the man earlier to put it away. "Can't believe how easy it is to get you drunk." His laugh sounded so sexy in my ears. I giggled and made my way over him but failed as I fell to the grass. "Ametrine!" He quickly went up to my aid and carried me, but I squirmed like a kid. I must be getting heavy because he reluctantly put me down. I immediately started running away from him, but not before grabbing his glass that contained the fermented wine that is now my favorite. "Come back here!" He shouted from behind me. I then ran faster, not wanting him to catch up with me. However, how could a drunk woman outrun a sober and handsome man? He grabbed both of my arms, took the glass from me, and placed it somewhere. He was about to drag me when I pushed him down the grass near the grapevines. Sitting on his stomach, I looked down at him. "Y-you're so handsome." I smiled at him, he was squirming and tried pushing me up, but it seemed like I had gained muscles now that I am drunk and stupid. "But too bad, you also deceived me. Just like what Paulo had done, y-y-you're the same." I laid against him and made him my bed, placing my head against his chest and listening to his heartbeat. Dug. Dug. Dug. Dug. Dug. Dug. "So fast," I remarked, and that was the last thing I had done before passing out on him.
