Abby: The end of summer at the lake was truly spectacular. Morning coffee and chats on the porch, swimming in the warm water, evening boat rides where Nick would fish and I would read. Sometimes others, like Wyatt and Allie, would join us. When Nick would leave after breakfast to take care of business, I would start work myself. I was settling into my role as Luna of the Iron Moon pack and loving it. Every morning after Nick left, I’d head to the pack house after breakfast to attend training with the teenagers. They were such a special group: so vibrant and welcoming, so determined and focused. After training I’d shower quickly and make, what I called, my rounds. Some days I’d pop into the kitchen and help the omegas with lunch or dinner prep. The omegas are a sweet and chatty group now
