Nate does as he’s asked. Slowly an image forms in his mind, he was watching the sun set over a vineyard that sloped gently down away from him towards a river in the distance. He could see hundreds of bubbles rising from between the rows of vines, and children were shrieking as they ran around blowing yet more bubbles. The sky was full of so many colours, the clouds were red, purple and orange. He was amazed at the simple beauty of the moment. And while he couldn’t see anything to prove it, he knew he was seeing Celine’s memory. How was this possible? After what feels like a minute, he watches the image fade.
