The airport was alive with motion, yet Emma felt as if time had slowed. Snowflakes danced against the glass walls, blown sideways by the wind, painting the world outside in white. Her fingers twisted the strap of her bag nervously. Every few seconds, she checked the arrivals board, willing the number of the flight to appear. Then she saw him.
