The journey to Quinn's hometown, an urban town on the outskirts of the big city, was grueling. They stopped several times just to drink coffee and unwind, then resumed the journey when their bodies were refreshed. The bright sky had turned dark by the time they reached the deserted asphalt road with savannah and flower gardens on either side.
