Jerish glanced back at Chris who stared at him as she went behind the counter and disappeared behind the door. He couldn't get out with Kelsey blocking him in. Goddamns it, who knew she would be at this cafe at this time? He wanted to go and chase after Chris and explain, but what if Kelsey reported this to his father?
Chris walked back out of the door with an apron. One of the girls looked at Jerish and she called for the waitress. Chris looked around for someone to take her spot while she checked on Jolen who was also looking at Jerish. The others were in the back. Chris swallowed. Fiancee?
