Chris let her date, Mr. Roland or rather he wanted her to call him Bryan, pull out the chair for her and let her sit.
They ordered their dinner and waited. Chris' phone vibrated so she excused herself to pick it up. "Mommy." Jolen's voice asked for her. Her maternal instinct busted in as she heard his soft almost whisper voice through the phone. "Yes sweetie?" Her heart doubled in speed and she waited to hear what was wrong.
"Where are you at?" Jolen asked into the phone while he tried to remember what his dad told him to ask. Jerish stood by his side in the elevator encouraging words to Jolen.
