I felt everywhere freeze as everyone waited for the impact that never came. Stone had changed into his wolf and pushed Zuri away from Dalia at the last minute. It happened so fast, no one had seen it coming.
I rushed towards Dalia and stood in front of her. My wolf was on the verge of coming out. Watching his mate almost get attacked put him in a protective mood, and he took a protective stance in front of her. Zuri landed on the chair and changed back into her human form.
