DALIA'S POV
The ray of sunshine hitting my face forced me awake. I opened my eyes, but the bright sunray forced me to shut them. I blocked the sunray from blinding me with my hand.
I got up and looked around. Sly was asleep in his wolf form close to me, and Xander was dozing on the small log of wood that he was sitting on. They probably changed positions after switching shifts. This was just the second day, but he was already looking tired and shabby.
Moving my eyes away from him, I looked around the forest. The sunbeams slanted through the trees, casting a warm and golden light on the forest ground. It looked mystical. I didn't realize how beautiful the forest was yesterday when we decided to camp here. But looking around now, it looks alluring and beautiful.
