I stood under the shower as the cold water cascaded down my body from my head. The cold water on my head eased the headache I felt and brought relief to my soul.
My mind drifted away to the events of the day. After we left the library to eat and take a walk, we returned and continued our search, but we didn't find anything from the books we checked. But we weren't giving up; we will continue tomorrow and thoroughly check all the books until we find something.
There was an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach after I saw that torn page. I had already made my decision not to follow the fate the moon goddess made for me, but I couldn't help feeling like things would not work out until I carried that mantle of leadership. I worry that my decision will harm everyone.
