SLY’S POV My eyes slowly fluttered open. I felt weak, and my throat was dry and patchy. I couldn't move my body. Suddenly, I heard Mum yell, “You said that was the cure! Isn't he supposed to have woken up?” My eyes moved to where Mum was looking, and it was Dalia standing there. They were yet to notice that I was awake, and I was too tired to speak, but I wasn't happy with how Mum spoke to Dalia. Forcing the words through my patched throat, I said, “Stop shouting at her.” My voice was low, but I knew they would hear. They all immediately rushed to me.
