The words echoed around me, and my blood pumped a little faster. I didn’t hesitate.
I lunged at him, hoping to throw him off with how quickly I’d attacked. I jabbed with my right fist first, then with my left, then my right again, keeping my body low and controlled as I moved.
He dodged the first and the second, then blocked the third, using my momentum to push me out of the way. He moved to the side, hopping from one foot to the other.
