Chapter 22 Jayden received a text not an hour and a half after leaving the house, and dutifully waited outside the supermarket for Darren’s car. He had bought a large slab of Dairy Milk, hoping that it wouldn’t be needed, and when Darren pulled up in the pick-up point, watched his face carefully. “How did it go?” he asked once he was situated, and Darren put the car into gear and moved off.
