Jax's POV
As soon as the door shut behind us, Alice whirled on me, "Do NOT change her into a vampire."
I arched an eyebrow, "Why not? What's wrong with her?"
She started pacing in front of me and talking so fast I could barely keep up with her, "We've got to find a witch. This could kill her. There's no way she'll survive the change in her state. She might not even survive at all." It was such a jumbled mess, but one thing that stood out the most was the word 'kill' and that it had to do with Carly. I grabbed Alice's shoulder and spun her around to face me.
"Tell me what the hell is going on!" I said through clenched teeth, my heart threatening to burst through my ribcage at the thought of my mate dying because of something bad going on inside of her that I couldn't save her from.
